Case Study : NetQoS

As NetQoS' business boomed, Bantam delivered a custom manufacturing solution that scaled to meet growing market demand, keeping NetQoS ahead of the competition.

Challenge:

NetQoS, a leading network performance management software company, found itself on the front end of a growth curve. Meeting increased demand presented challenges, as it required custom-manufacturing, configuring, and imaging boxes for each sale. Supporting these operations internally was rapidly driving up cost, driving down quality and order fulfillment, and distracting the company from its core business, and, more importantly, its business growth. NetQoS needed a flexible, experienced technology partner that could function in lock-step with sales and operations.

Solution:

Bantam developed an end-to-end manufacturing and order fulfillment solution for NetQoS that addressed each problem area. Bantam set up a custom-manufacturing program that enabled each box to be:
  • Assembled with a mixture of standard and non-standard components
  • Set up using one of six NetQoS custom configurations
  • Imaged and stored
  • QA tested
  • Transparently drop-shipped with custom paperwork to the end customer from the Bantam warehouse

Outcome:

Working with Bantam, NetQoS was able to quickly improve product quality and delivery times, as well as eliminate the cost of on-site manufacturing and fulfillment. More importantly, however, NetQoS was now able to focus more exclusively on its core business. Outsourcing to Bantam allowed NetQoS to manage growth based on market demand and opportunity instead of product manufacturing, supply, and fulfillment limitations.

Update:

NetQoS continues to grow and was recently ranked the fastest growing hi-tech company in Texas, second on the 2004 Deloitte Technology Fast 500 for the Communications/Networking Industry in North America (#32 overall in Technology companies in North America).
